How important is writing
Its been 2 months with my fast paced life in Bangalore. Going through the Go-Jek bootcamp. This has been quite a learning phase in my life. But with this active life comes the up and down phases. I will try to convince you why everyone should write. One of the less talked but highly effective tools.
I have majorly categorized my life in 3 dimensions.
Family | Personal | Professional
I try to keep them as orthogonal as possible. Now whats with the writing?

You wake up. Rush to office. Learn new things. Finish your work. Come back home. Maybe drink a beer or chat about the day with you flatmate. Bitch about someone for sometime. Watch an episode or two before sleeping. And Repeat.
In this above schedule, where is the time when you retrospect the things happening. To actually see where you are going. If you are doing something, then is it actually taking you closer to your goal or is it just some thing you are doing just to do. Or to convince your mind that whatever you did in a situation is correct. When your date left you at the pub for some other guy, or you had a breakup with your girlfriend, a situation becoming awkward with your close friend, or any such thing.
We rarely talk such stuff with ourselves. You would say you think such stuff with yourself, fight back and try to convince yourself but thoughts are very much vulnerable. You would have no idea when you went to thought X when you started from thought A.
This is where writing comes as one of the solutions. Lets start with an analogy. We find it very relieving when we share our troubles with someone. Talking with someone when we are low. Telling them exactly how we are feeling and making them feel. And converting these feelings to words. And in this course of sharing, mostly we solve the problem ourselves. Now we have the same thing, but instead of other person, you are talking to yourself. Who knows everything about you. Who is feeling the same way you do. So you can just write whatever you are feeling and talk with the diary. And figure out the things to help you out in any situation you are.
Frequency
Depends on you. I do that once in every 3–4 days. You can do it regularly or once a week. Its all upto you. Just not less than 1 a week. That defeats the purpose.
Fancy English?
Nobody is gonna read what you wrote except you and you won’t judge yourself! This is you writing to yourself. So no need of any fancy thesaurus terms. If writing a generalized blog, then its upto you but for personal thing, its all upto you.
Just step in and let it all drip from your fingertips.
You won’t realize how comforting this will become. There is also a great journal to start with writing experiences. Project Fuel — Journal for adults — if you have problem with remembering your beautiful experiences.
