What it is

ArtByThePassenger is the online home of my wife, Bao Han — an artist in the Himalayas whose paintings come from spiritual energy and personal transformation. The site is where she gathers and sells her work:

• Original paintings — one-of-a-kind acrylic, oil, and mixed-media pieces.
• Universe Club — a monthly mail club: a handwritten letter and a painting print, hand-signed and sealed with wax, sent to your door.
• Her pregnancy book — the story of choosing to chase her lifelong dream of being an artist right after our daughter was born, and modelling that creative freedom for her.
• Her blog — her writing, alongside everything else.

Why I'm making it

Han is the artist; I'm the builder. This one isn't my idea to express — it's hers, and my job was to give it a home worthy of the work. I did the heavy lifting: designed and built the site, wired up Razorpay for the paywall and the club, and got the whole machine running.

The part I'm proudest of: she runs it herself now. She edits her own site directly with Claude Code — adds paintings, updates the club, publishes posts — without needing me in the loop. I built something she doesn't depend on me to use.

Where it's at

Live and hers. I'm in maintaining mode — keeping the plumbing healthy and stepping in for the occasional bigger change, while Han does the day-to-day herself.
